Guilty Gear series Pro's
+Smooth character designs and high frame rate, detailed and darker animation.
+Imaginative character designs and good voice-acting.
+A wealth of original modes such as "Mansion of Millionnaires" and "Mission mode".
+A well themed rock soundtrack.
+Includes a storyline.
+Diverse gameplay structure allowing the player the freedom to play using their own range of styles.
+High difficulty.
Guilty Gear series Con's
-Only goes up to 2 player. (As of GGXX)
-No team battle mode. (As of GGXX)
-Many wont like the "well themed rock soundtrack".
-High difficulty.
Street Fighter series Pro's
+More characters than Guilty Gear
+The series pairs up with other famous fighter. titles to allow for enjoyable stand-off's.
+Very finely tuned rigid gameplay.
+Diverse soundtrack, including everything from j-pop to traditional chinese music to rock.
+Some titles include team battle and 4 player co-op options.
Street Fighter series Con's
-The series is no longer renovating, it simply recycles old gameplay, characters and locations to please original fans.
-Graphics look dated.
-Controls arent so fluid in comparison to guilty gear.
-Very finely tuned, rigid gameplay.
Conclusion
= Street Fighter defined the rules for 2D beat em-ups, Guilty Gear took them, broke them, and is all the better for it. The Guilty Gear series embodies all the 2D fighter renovations that Capcom have been neglected to integrate into their own games for all these years, and sales are starting to show that.
= While the Street fighter series includes one or two useful options not available in Guilty Gear (such as co-op and team battles), Sammy have, overall, produced the superior game thanks to its animation design, gameplay, and imaginative set of modes and characters.
On a side note, Capcom have stated that they're interested in producing a Guilty Gear Vs. Street Fighter title, using the darker Guilty Gear style graphics and gameplay.

SF also has been reusing the same sprites for almost a decade.
GG is very balanced, probably one of the most balanced fighters around. SF on the other hand...
*Agrees with your comparison*

It'll be worth it though, especially if they give us some new online play modes to mess around with. But first, ive got to get the X-box Live service pack...
Anyway, heres an idea for the next debate: do you prefer linear RPG's (like Xenogears, Xenosaga and Final Fantasy X) or non-linear RPG's (like Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy X-2)?

I like non linear's play style better, but they usually don't have as good of a story. If a non linear had a story like Xenogears, then hell yeah. CT and CC are the best of the nonlinear, to me.

IRT OCB: I've never got to play with the Flamer. Nor the FRG.
Is the flamer any good? Better than the shotty?

Well, i suppose a non-linear RPG is the traditional idea of a role playing game, in that, you do whatever you want and you make the main character whatever you want him to be within the confines of the world and setting your given.
I prefer non-linear to linear; i can involve myself more.
